From December 27th to December 31st, 2024, we gathered for our annual staff and volunteers’ training retreat at the serene and inspiring grounds of Moi Tea Girls’ High School, nestled in the picturesque region of Kericho, Kenya. This year, we were thrilled to welcome an unprecedented 480 staff members and volunteers—a remarkable milestone that reflects the growth and commitment of our ministry in this vibrant community.
The retreat was thoughtfully crafted to serve as a catalyst for unity among our diverse team. With an emphasis on elevating expertise and broadening knowledge horizons, the program was designed to foster collaboration and innovation. Over the course of the five days, participants engaged in a variety of workshops, team-building exercises, and reflective sessions that encouraged open dialogue and the sharing of best practices.
We are profoundly grateful to God for the success of this retreat, as all our objectives were not only met but exceeded. The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm and a shared vision, allowing team members to connect on deeper levels. This spirit of camaraderie was palpable, and it laid the foundation for a renewed sense of purpose and synergy that continues to resonate within our organization.
As we reflect on the impact of this retreat, it is evident that the focused approach on enhancing our collaborative abilities has strengthened our capability to work together towards our common goals. The skills and insights gained during this time have empowered us to support one another more effectively, ensuring that we remain aligned with our organizational vision. Looking ahead, we are excited to see how this renewed energy and commitment will translate into our work, as we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. The bonds forged and the knowledge shared during this retreat will undoubtedly propel us forward, enabling us to meet the challenges of the future with confidence and enthusiasm.
